This enhanced PS-3869 shaft seal serves as an upgraded replacement for PS-2131, engineered for Hayward Power-Flo, Power-Flo LX, Power-Flo II models, plus Aqua-Flo TMCP bathtub-style and Flo-Master FMVP vertical pump wet ends.
Both the spring-loaded seal component (which mounts on the impeller) and the ceramic-rubber assembly (which fits into the volute or wet end housing) measure approximately 1 1/4" across. Each component features a 5/8" center opening designed for the impeller shaft.
Installation tip: Apply a thin layer of silicone sealant to the impeller shaft before carefully sliding the spring seal into position. The rubber portion also benefits from a light silicone coating for easier insertion into the volute or wet end body.
