This PS-200 shaft seal assembly is designed for 5/8" shafts and features a 1.218" seal outer diameter and 1.250" seal outer diameter. Commonly used in Aqua-Flo wet ends, this Buna seal also works with select Waterway models including Viper and EX2 wet ends. The kit includes both the spring-loaded seal component that mounts on the impeller shaft and the ceramic-rubber portion that seats into the volute housing. Both components feature approximately 5/8" center holes for proper shaft fit.
Installation requires applying silicone sealant to the impeller shaft before carefully pressing the seal into position with a small amount of silicone lubricant. The rubber component should receive a light silicone coating to ease installation into the wet end body or volute. Available individually or bundled with silicone sealer and impeller options.
Important: Leaking seals typically indicate impeller replacement is needed, as water intrusion into the metal shaft area causes expansion and impeller damage. Verify compatibility carefully - this seal fits Aqua-Flo wet ends and Waterway Viper/EX2 models only. All other Waterway wet ends require the 1000 series seal.
