This Waterway E-Series center discharge wet end assembly serves as the updated replacement for the discontinued original center discharge model. It's crucial to verify which version you currently have, as components between the two designs cannot be swapped. A simple identification method: examine your faceplate screws. The original center discharge design featured 4 screws, while this newer E-Series model uses a 6-screw faceplate configuration. For owners of the earlier 4-screw center discharge wet ends requiring replacement parts, a complete wet end upgrade to this E-Series center discharge unit is necessary. Specifications: 1.5hp, 1-1/2"mbt/fpt connections, 48fr motor frame compatibility.
