Wetends

Wetends are the water-handling portion of spa and hot tub pumps (volute, diffuser, impeller housing, seal plate, and related internals), sold as complete replacement units without the motor. Replacing the wet end is a cost-effective way to repair leaks, weak flow, cavitation, or internal damage without buying a full pump assembly (motor stays reusable if in good condition).

This category offers replacement wet ends compatible with major pump brands: Waterway (Executive, Viper, EX2, Hi-Flo series), Aqua-Flo (XP2, XP2e, XP3), Balboa (universal wet ends), Gecko (in.stream series), Laing (circulation wet ends), and others. Common types: side discharge, center discharge, 1.5HP–5HP ratings, threaded or union connections, and high-flow/low-flow designs.

Wetends vary by pump series/model (XP2e, Executive, etc.), horsepower rating (1.5HP–5HP), discharge type (side/center), seal type (carbon/ceramic pre-installed), impeller style (high-flow vs. low-flow), and pump compatibility—precise matching ensures proper flow rate, no cavitation, and correct fit with your motor shaft.

Common problems include leaks from cracked volutes or worn seals, weak jets/filtration from damaged diffuser/impeller housing, cavitation/noise from internal wear, restricted flow from scale buildup, or pump failure from broken wet end components. Replacing the wet end restores full pump performance—often bolts onto your existing motor with new seals.

To select the right wet end:
- Identify your spa brand/model, year, pump brand/model (e.g., Waterway Executive, Aqua-Flo XP2e), horsepower/speed, discharge type (side/center), shaft type (threaded/keyed), and any markings on the existing wet end.
- Note symptoms (leaks at pump housing, weak/no flow, cavitation noise, pump overheating), or visible damage (cracked volute, worn diffuser).
- Avoid guessing—send us clear photos of the pump wet end (showing volute/diffuser, discharge side, seal plate, shaft opening, pump label/model, and spa label with model/serial number) for expert verification.
