This component is a Jacuzzi J-Style Pump Union designed for dual compatibility with 1 1/2" or 2" plumbing configurations. The union accepts 1 1/2" pipe inserted into the interior socket, or alternatively, a 2" pipe glued to the exterior collar. One end connects to your 1 1/2" or 2" plumbing pipe or fitting, while the opposite end threads directly onto Jacuzzi J-Style wet end pumps. This union features threads measuring 3" across with a distinctive beveled mating surface - distinguishing it from standard 2" unions which also measure 3" across but have a flat sealing surface instead. If your spa uses 1 1/2" or 2" plumbing and has a Jacuzzi J-Style wet end, this is your correct replacement part.
