This replacement component is a 1/4" Air Bleeder Plug featuring coarse threads designed specifically for original style Sta-Rite Dura-Jet DJ Series Wetends. These plugs are known to break at the head, leaving threaded portions lodged in the wetend face. Removal is typically straightforward using a flat-head screwdriver to extract the remaining threads. Professional tip: Apply silicone sealant to the center opening during installation to reduce pressure stress on the plug head and extend service life.
Important: This coarse thread version fits older DuraJet models only. Newer Sta-Rite pumps including IntelliPro systems require the fine thread variant (part U78-920P).
