This item is a 1/4" Air Bleeder Plug with coarse threads that can be found on the old style of a StaRite Dura-Jet DJ Series Wetends only. The head of this plug will break off and leave the threads in the wet end face. You can take a flat screw driver and turn the threads out of the wet end with ease usually. Note: When reinstalling the new plug I like to seal the center hole with silicon to help with pressure on the plug head.
