This item is a Complete Suction Fitting that requires a 3 3/8" hole... The cover is 5 3/16" Wide... The plumbing size is 2" which would measure about 2 3/8" Outside Diameter o the pipe that glues in.. If your plumbing is 1 1/2" you would need a 2" to 1 1/2" Reducer Bushing here is the link to the Reducer Bushing
