Jet Bodies
Jet bodies (also called jet housings, jet shells, or jet rear bodies) are the structural plumbing fittings that mount through the spa shell and connect to water lines, providing the base for interchangeable jet nozzles/inserts. These bodies include threaded or clamp-on designs, internal nozzle threads, O-ring/gasket seats, and ports for 1" or 1-1/2" plumbing—ensuring secure installation, proper flow, and easy jet face replacement without shell removal.
This category includes replacement jet bodies and compatible housings for major brands: Balboa (standard 2" and 3" bodies), Gecko (in.jet housings), Sundance/Jacuzzi (Power Storm/Pro Stream bodies), Hot Spring/Watkins (Precision/Moto-Massage housings), HydroQuip, Dimension One, and universal fits. Options include 1" slip x 1" slip, 1-1/2" slip ports, rotating/non-rotating styles, stainless or plastic trim compatibility, and high-temperature PVC/polymer construction. Many come with O-rings or are sold as body-only for nozzle swaps.
Jet bodies vary by plumbing size (1" or 1-1/2" slip/thread), mounting type (threaded vs. clamp-on), overall length/depth (short/long for shell thickness), nozzle thread size (e.g., 2" face compatible), material (PVC for standard, reinforced for durability), and spa shell compatibility—precise matching is essential to avoid leaks, poor flow, or misaligned nozzles.
Common problems include leaks at the shell from cracked bodies or worn O-rings/gaskets, restricted flow from internal debris/scale buildup, stripped internal threads from over-tightening nozzles, broken mounting tabs/clamps, corrosion on metal-reinforced bodies in salt systems, or vibration/noise from loose plumbing connections. Replacing a jet body is a targeted fix—often requires shell access but restores watertight, smooth jet operation.
To select the right jet body:
- Identify your spa brand/model, year, jet location (seat, back, footwell), plumbing size (1" or 1-1/2"), mounting style (threaded/clamp), body depth, nozzle thread size, and any part numbers or markings on the existing body.
- Note symptoms (leaks around jet base, weak flow, visible cracks/debris inside body), or body condition.
- Avoid guessing—send us clear photos of your existing jet body (showing rear housing, plumbing ports, internal threads, mounting tabs/clamps, gasket/O-ring seats, shell penetration, and spa label with model/serial number) for expert verification.
