Pressure, Suction & Flow Switches.
Pressure suction and flow switches are safety devices used in hot tubs and spas
to monitor water movement and prevent equipment damage or unsafe operation.
These switches ensure proper water flow before allowing heaters pumps and other
components to operate.
This category includes pressure switches flow switches suction switches and
related water-sensing safety switches used with spa heaters and electronic
control systems. These switches open or close an electrical circuit based on
water pressure or flow conditions.
Pressure switches typically monitor water pressure in the plumbing system and
are commonly used to confirm pump operation before energizing a heater. Flow
switches detect actual water movement and are often used in systems with
circulation pumps or low-flow designs. Suction switches monitor negative
pressure conditions and are used as an additional safety device in some spa
designs.
These switches vary by thread size activation pressure electrical rating
connection type and control system compatibility. Switches that appear similar
are often not interchangeable and must be matched correctly.
Common symptoms of pressure or flow switch issues include heater not turning on
error codes intermittent heating or nuisance shutdowns. In many cases the switch
is responding correctly to an underlying flow problem such as a dirty filter
air lock closed valve weak pump or plumbing restriction.
Replacing a pressure or flow switch without correcting the root cause may result
in repeated failures. Always verify proper water flow and system operation before
replacement.
Before ordering identify the switch type thread size electrical rating and spa
control system compatibility.
If you are unsure which pressure suction or flow switch is correct for your spa
do not guess. Text clear photos of the existing switch plumbing connection and
control system label and we will help confirm the correct replacement before you
order.
