Contactors

Contactors are heavy-duty electrical switching devices used in hot tubs and spas
to control high-amperage equipment such as heaters pumps blowers and auxiliary
loads. They allow low-voltage control signals to safely switch higher-voltage
circuits.

This category includes spa contactors used with electronic control systems and
mechanical control applications. Contactors are commonly used to handle electrical
loads that exceed the rating of standard relays.

Spa contactors vary by coil voltage contact rating number of poles normally open
or normally closed configuration and mounting style. Contactors that appear
similar are often not interchangeable and must be matched correctly.

Common symptoms of a failing contactor include equipment not turning on staying
on continuously chattering noises overheating or repeated breaker trips. These
issues are often caused by worn contacts burned terminals or failed coils.

Contactors are commonly used to control spa heaters and high-amperage pumps.
Installing an undersized or incorrect contactor can result in electrical damage
or unsafe operation.

Before ordering identify the coil voltage contact amperage number of poles and
the equipment being controlled. Matching the contactor correctly is critical for
safe and reliable operation.

If you are unsure which contactor is correct for your spa do not guess. Text
clear photos of the existing contactor wiring and equipment labels and we will
help confirm the correct replacement before you order.
