Air Switches

Air switches are electrically operated switches that use air pressure from
pneumatic tubing to turn spa equipment on and off. They are commonly used to
control pumps blowers lights and other accessories in hot tubs and spas where
water exposure makes traditional electrical switches unsafe.

This category includes spa air switches designed to be activated by air buttons
or pneumatic control panels. When air pressure is applied through tubing the air
switch mechanically closes or opens an electrical circuit to operate equipment.

Air switches vary by voltage amperage number of poles momentary or latching
operation and electrical connection style. Switches that appear similar are
often not interchangeable and must be matched correctly to the application.

Common symptoms of a failed air switch include equipment not turning on staying
on continuously intermittent operation or delayed response. These issues are
often caused by internal wear moisture intrusion or diaphragm failure.

Air switches are commonly used with pneumatic control systems but they still
carry electrical load and must be rated correctly for the equipment being
controlled. Using an undersized air switch can result in overheating or failure.

Before ordering identify the voltage amperage switching type and equipment being
controlled. Matching the air switch correctly is critical for safe and reliable
operation.

If you are unsure which air switch is correct for your spa do not guess. Text
clear photos of the existing air switch wiring and tubing connections and we will
help confirm the correct replacement before you order.
