Control Panels, Air
Air control panels also known as pneumatic control panels are used in hot tubs
and spas to operate pumps blowers lights and other functions using air pressure
instead of electronic signals. These systems rely on air buttons bellows tubing
and air switches to activate spa equipment.
This category includes air control panels pneumatic topsides air buttons bellows
air switches and related pneumatic control parts. Air control systems are
commonly found in older spas as well as models designed to reduce electronic
components near water.
Pneumatic control panels work by sending air pressure through small air tubes
when a button is pressed. That air pressure activates an air switch which turns
equipment on or off. Because these systems do not use electronics in the control
panel they are highly resistant to moisture-related failures.
Common symptoms of pneumatic control issues include buttons that feel loose or
stuck equipment not responding delayed operation cracked bellows leaking air
lines or failed air switches.
Air control panels and pneumatic parts vary by number of buttons tubing size
mounting style and switch compatibility. Components that appear similar may not
be interchangeable and must be matched correctly to ensure proper operation.
Air control panels are not interchangeable with electronic topside control
panels. Pneumatic systems use air pressure only and do not connect directly to
spa control boards.
Before ordering identify the number of buttons the function each button controls
and the existing pneumatic components installed on your spa.
If you are unsure which air control panel or pneumatic part is correct for your
spa do not guess. Text clear photos of the existing control panel air tubing and
air switch setup and we will help confirm the correct replacement before you
order.
