HydroQuip

HydroQuip temperature sensors are used in HydroQuip spa control systems to measure
water temperature and regulate normal heating operation. These sensors provide
accurate temperature data to the control board so the heater can cycle on and off
to maintain the selected water temperature.

Temperature sensors do not generate heat and do not cause overheating. Their role
is to accurately report water temperature to the control system. When a
temperature sensor fails it may send incorrect readings or stop communicating
with the control board.

Common symptoms of a faulty HydroQuip temperature sensor include incorrect water
temperature displayed on the topside heater not turning on water heating too hot
or too cold error codes related to temperature sensing or unstable heating
operation. Sensor drift corrosion scale buildup or moisture intrusion can affect
accuracy over time.

HydroQuip temperature sensors vary by resistance value connector type cable length
mounting style and control system compatibility and must be matched correctly to
the specific HydroQuip system. Sensors that appear similar may not be
interchangeable.

Temperature sensors are often confused with hi-limit sensors. While both monitor
temperature they serve different purposes. Temperature sensors regulate normal
heating operation while hi-limit sensors act as a safety shutoff to stop continued
overheating.

Installing the wrong temperature sensor can result in inaccurate readings heater
problems or system errors.

Before ordering identify the HydroQuip control system model and existing
temperature sensor part number. Some HydroQuip systems use separate temperature
and hi-limit sensors while others use combination sensors depending on system
generation.

If you are unsure which HydroQuip temperature sensor is correct for your spa do
not guess. Text clear photos of the existing sensor control box and wiring
connections and we will help confirm the correct replacement before you order.
