This spa pump has 2" union connections that will measure 3" across the male threads. Many of the motors used with these pumps are marked with a frame size of 56Z but they are really a 48 frame sizing. If you measure the thru bolt spacing, top to bottom, you will get 3-5/8" for a 48 frame motor.

This pump is the primary replacement for the discontinued 3 horsepower versions with the 12 amp motors. Can also be used to replace single speed versions - just wire up the high speed only.
